"...an official letter or statement from the country you’re currently a citizen or national of saying that, if you had not given up your British citizenship, you’d have lost or failed to get your current citizenship or nationality" I obtained Spanish nationality several years ago and renounced my British to a Spanish court. That's not enough for the UK , they will still consider me to be a dual citizen, but exactly what document are Spain going to provide me with now several years later? Is a copy of my Certificado Literal de Inscripción en el Registro Civil not enough? It states that I have renounced my British. Would it have to be translated into English?

482 quid???? Seriously??? Daylight robbery! I would rather lie on the visa form than shell out this!
