Anyone know how long they are taking to process citizenship by descent? I've been waiting since October 2023 and there's been no word from the court other than that they received the application. Is 2 years normal?

I live in Berlin and have been in full-time, stable employment here for 7 years with a decent income. I’ve never claimed any benefits. I'm British with an Aufenthaltstitel-GB granting me permanent residency, and I’ve been married to a German citizen who is also full-time employed for almost 5 years. I submitted my application digitally and have been waiting 9 months for a decision. I’m surprised others get results in just a few months. I submitted all required documents—what explains the delay?
