A regional branch of the conservative Christian Democratic Union has cancelled its summer party after making the same blunder as excitable teenagers: it posted an invitation on Facebook and forgot to click “private.”
Social networking site Facebook announced Monday it was launching its “deals” service, on which members can look up special offers on anything from a cup of coffee to a football scarf on their smart phones.
