Too few new flats are being built in Germany's largest cities even as oversupply looms in rural areas, experts at the Institute for the German Economy (IW) in Cologne warned on Wednesday.
A new receptacle for unwanted plants debuted in Schöppingen in North Rhine-Westphalia this week. It’s called a <i>Pflanzenklappe</i>, or plant hatch, in a play on the German word <i>Babyklappe</i>, where parents can safely deposit their unwanted infants.
