Far-right protesters clashed Saturday with rival, anti-fascist activists in a southwest German village where assailants had hurled a hand grenade Friday as anti-refugee violence in the country escalates, police said.
Elsterwerda police had to secure their station for two hours after an elderly man who found a World War II-era grenade laid it in their yard in an Aldi discount grocery store bag on Monday afternoon.
