If it were not so ugly, this would be funny, coming from the guy who told the Georgia Secretary of State, "I just need you to find me 11,780 votes."

If the orange joker would also remove the obligation to submit a tax return and an FBAR and the all the reporting requirements imposed on financial institutions that make it nearly impossible to invest and save for retirement, I’d be willing to surrender my voter registration card without a fight. The only thing preventing me from renouncing is the possibility that I may need to provide care for my mother at some point.

"...show proof of their US citizenship, via a passport or birth certificate, in person to a US election official. ... this legislation would require a trip to the US in order to register or make changes." --------------------------------------------- a trip to the U.S. to register to vote? Well, what about an American embassy in the country of residence?

The US military overseas have seen how other countries function and how life is abroad. That makes them cosmopolitan and therefore dangerous. Better not to have them vote then. “Ours is not to question why, ours is just to do and die”. I wonder if they can quit and apply to join a European Army, should it become reality or the local army in Germany, the Baltics or Greenland? That is not desertion.
