Germany's conservatives led by election winner Friedrich Merz held first talks Friday with the Social Democrats on forming a coalition government as the country faces multiple challenges at home and abroad.

The way voting works in many European countries seems to be a very strange version of democracy? It appears to be designed to keep certain party's out even though a large % of the people voted for them? Look at the recent Austrian situation, unbelievable?
