What’s the secret?

Contributing to the Greater Copenhagen Region’s high rankings are a variety of factors.

Placed at the heart of the Nordics, the Greater Copenhagen Region has excellent transport south towards the rest of the European continent, and north to Sweden, Norway and Finland.

The landscapes of the southern Scandinavian - where natural resources can be limited - mean that the region has had to prioritise sustainability.

Indeed, Denmark was the first country in the world to cut its carbon emissions in half, and almost half the country’s power is sourced from wind power.

Sweden was also able to achieve this goal in 2020.

These factors combined make the Greater Copenhagen Region a world leader in renewable energy, with the economy thriving as a result of businesses making the region their headquarters.
