Dmitry ... my Titre de Sejour "expired" but I have a letter from the department telling me not to "worry" but I also read that the government understands the problem and is extending Titres for a MINIMUM of 90 days.

I also agree with Richard, we are all in this mess when the immigration centre id not working.
I can't start a new job because of this :(

Agree with Richard;s comment. I am Canadian working in Paris and was supposed to pick up my permanent residency card on March 17th... never happened. My work permit ends with the temporary residency permit on April 11th. I have a permanent work contact but I no idea what will happen on April 11th. So this is a universal problem, not a refugee problem.

Regarding picking up the Residency permit - well, I gained dual citizenship a Month ago, and am also unable to pick up my I.D. card, so to prove my German Citizenship, I carry a photocopy of my Certificate - another "flimsy sheet of paper". My German passport is also stuck in this situation
I imagine many people are in this same mess. Maybe you should do an article on all of us instead of seeming to infer that this is only a problem for Refugees.
