Ever wondered how much people your age in Germany earn? A new graph released by Statista breaks down pay for professionals and business leaders throughout their working life.
The graph released on Thursday shows that professionals and business leaders can expect their salaries to rise steadily from the age of 20 to 40.
The biggest leap in the Salary Report 2017 by pay comparison website Gehalt.de came between the ages of 25 and 30 when average salaries jumped from €36,789 to €45,302.
Wage increases began to taper off after the age of 40 though. A 60-year-old is only likely to earn €2,500 more than someone 20 years his junior.
Recent studies have shown the companies that pay employees in Germany best, and the regions in Germany where you will likely open up the biggest pay cheque at the end of the month.
The chart shows the average wages of professionals and senior management from the ages of 20 to 60. The average is based on the salaries of 217,876 full-time employees in Germany.
