Boy sues classmate over sore bottom

A 15-year-old boy from Hanover is suing his classmate after he pulled a chair from underneath him as he was about to sit down.
The young man wants €1,400 in compensation, claiming that he sustained serious injuries due to the prank, reports Die Welt.
According to the suit he fell on his coccyx and then struck his head against the floor.
Because he could not bear the pain and suffers from hemophilia, he had to spend three days in hospital.
The schoolboy also missed a planned Easter holiday because he was later confined to bed.
A a spokesperson for the Federal Court said civil suits concerning accidents at school will only succeed when premeditation can be proved.
Normally accident insurance covers acts of mischief in the school which have serious consequences in order to protect teenagers from long-term compensation payments.
