A man is believed to have killed his wife, mother and then himself, police said on Wednesday. The bodies of the three people were found in south-west Germany in the morning.
The man’s estranged wife, aged 58, was found by the body of his 93-year-old mother in the home in Eschelbronn, Baden-Württemberg.
The 59-year-old husband is thought to have killed himself afterwards. His body was found at the foot of a bridge. He had lived apart from his family for some time, police said in a statement.
The bodies have been taken away for investigation.
Forensics were at the scene on Wednesday.
