Germany's most bizarre EU election posters

As May's European election looms large in eurocentric Germany, the streets have been packed with party political posters. Far from being dry and pious, some are surprisingly witty.

German party political posters tend to be a straight forward affair, plastering the face of the person they want you to vote for next to the party's logo and a slogan if you're lucky.

But for May's European parliamentary elections, some candidates, and particularly the smaller parties, have exceeded poster expectations.

From eurosceptic campaigns putting the EU on the same level as despotic dictators, to various wry takes on the NSA spying scandal and comparisons between 21st Century borders and the Berlin Wall, we've rounded up eight of our favourite posters from the current campaign.
