Police hold woman, 76, for cocaine birthday bash
A 76-year-old woman who decided to celebrate her birthday with a free-for-all cocaine bash in her Berlin bar has been arrested and was being held Friday, police said.
Officers arrested the birthday woman and broke up the party late on Thursday, a spokesman said, after being tipped off that the illegal drug was being passed around in her establishment in the Wilmersdorf area of Berlin
“Officers went to the bar and found that the majority of the guests seemed to be under the influence of drugs," police said in a statement.
Police believe the cocaine was supplied by the woman, who was not named. Small amounts of drugs were also seized from four people.
The woman was previously arrested late last month after police found 35 grammes of cocaine in her bar and her apartment in Charlottenburg. She had been bailed just last Saturday in that matter.
This time her bar was ordered to be closed, police said.
