Crashes, a shooting and a pavement eating up a pedestrian are all featured in The Local's pictorial review of the last seven days.
It was the week that winter finally arrived in Germany and lows of -15C are forecast this weekend. It was particularly cold in the north and east of the country.
Black ice caused an accident on Friday when a truck demolished half of a house near the Polish border.
