Many of our stories come straight from the horse's mouth. Our readers are The Local's on-the-ground correspondents. Find out how to share stories, and remain anonymous.

Underhand tactics from the German submarine industry, thousands of Brits and Americans living off unemployment benefits, not to mention our many op-ed contributors who have mused over life in Germany - all these stories have come from people getting in touch with us.

You are more than welcome to contact us with stories. If you want to remain anonymous, we suggest that you make contact on the phone. Please remember to have a clear focus, rather than ramble, and be ready, when possible, to help us back up your claims or suggest ways for us to look into the information you are providing.

Whether it be dodgy landlords, untoward business practices or simply your thoughts about an odd cultural quirk. You can also use the hashtag #localleads on Twitter to lead us to the information.
