Three dead in sports club shooting

At least three people were killed and five others wounded on Tuesday evening when a man opened fire at a sports club in a village in southern Germany, police said.
Police in Heidelberg said two men were killed and five others injured, one of them seriously in the shooting. The man then shot himself at the club in the village of Dossenheim, where a meeting was being held.
Emergency services were first called at around 7pm to the sports club building.
A police spokesman said the background and motive for the shooting was unclear.
