"Comrades, we're making a calendar," emergency rescue worker Tobias Roggenkamp announced to his fellow fire volunteers one day.
"We were pretty sceptical at first," fireman Alexander Scharte admitted to the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung, but he and his colleagues were convinced when Roggenkamp presented the team with some highly professional practise shots.

The result was a glossy 2013 calendar, featuring 15 strapping fellows aged between 19 and 58 showcasing not only their taut muscle groupings and firefighting skills, but also some of their state-of-the-art hardware, including an axe, a ladder, a hose, a winch, a stretcher, and a dinghy.
But you'll have to be quick if you want your copy - the calendar has only been printed in a limited edition of 1,000. Profits from the sale will go towards buying the team a new infrared camera, at a cost of €7,000.
