Just days after announcing she had become a first-time grandmother, German pop singer Nena has confirmed her prolific offspring have provided her with a second grandchild, the Bild newspaper reported on Tuesday.

On December 25, Nena's 19-year-old daughter Larissa gave birth to a baby girl named Carla Maria. Two days later, her twin brother Sakias become the father of a boy, Noah.

“One would never think that one would become a double grandmother virtually at the same time,” the 1980s New Wave legend told the paper. “We're infinitely happy.”

Nena rose to fame in the early 1980s with her global hit “99 Red Balloons” and she continues to give sold-out concerts to stadiums in German-speaking Europe. She will embark on a new tour in April, but she clearly doesn't fear she'll be kept from her grandmotherly duties.

“As far as I'm concerned, another 100 grandchildren could come,” she said.
