The Tiergarten district court found the 31-year-old guilty of producing two CDs in 2006 containing songs that describe the torture, mutilation and murder of women in excessive detail.

Furthermore, a police search of the man’s home in Tempelhof in April turned up 15 CDs with similar content, though by other artists.

During the trial, the defendant, through his lawyer, admitted the charges. He said he was planning a new album with “pure party and humourous music.”

The court agreed with the prosecution that the rapper had “deliberately provoked” with “unbelievably brutal and nauseating” lyrics in order to gain fame.

The verdict follows a recent case in which Berlin rapper Sido reached a €14,000 settlement with an elderly woman who he had threatened to beat with her own crutches in 2007. The dispute was allegedly over a car parking space.

Human Right 'Freedom of Speech' vs. Censorship in Germany. Nobody has to buy that guy's CDs anyway.

I think women go through enough crap that the media dishes out without some jack ass regurgitating hateful lyrics about women like so much vomit. There are other ways to be funny without promoting violence toward women. We have enough of that already.

@kitten1985: do you think he's actually "promoting" the BS in his lyrics? (I'm not being sarcastic).

Because I really doubt that he (or anyone that buys his stuff) actually DOES any of the things people like him rap about (its simply fame through notoriety...infamy in order to sell records).

OK, let me give you an everyday example, who will you better remember, the person that allows you to cut ahead of them in line at the supermarket, or the guy that slaps you in the face for taking his parking spot at ALDI???). This is about marketing, not social degradation!
