A helpful 12-year-old girl sent to ensure her parent's parking pass was displayed in the family car ended up demolishing five vehicles in the lot of public swimming pool in Bad Salzuflen in North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday.

Police in the Lippe district said on Tuesday that the girl's mother gave her the keys to their car to attach the parking permit to the windshield. But upon entering the vehicle, she started the car and pushed the gas pedal.

"The VW Golf abruptly reversed in a half circle, screeching out of the parking space and smashing into a parked Peugeot, which was pushed over a median strip on the adjacent road and thrust into a nearby tree," police said in a statement.

After the first collision, the girl's car swerved into three other parked cars, causing further havoc.

Police estimate property damage of the incident at several thousand euros.
