Drunk riverboat captain arrested while manning Weser tour

The captain of a tourist riverboat was arrested on the job after they found he was extremely intoxicated, police in the German state of Saxony reported Tuesday.

More than 100 passengers were on board the riverboat touring the Weser River in Hameln when one of the guests suspected the captain might be drunk and called police.

He tested a stunning blood alcohol content of 0.284 and was immediately arrested and the one-hour tour was removedf from river traffic, police said.
