A 22-year-old German man has been arrested after wearing a swastika t-shirt out to buy groceries in Kevelaer in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, police reported Monday evening.

A customer at the supermarket spotted the t-shirt, which was clearly visible under the man's open jacket, and called police, a spokesperson said. The man was arrested for the use of a symbol belonging to an anticonstitutional organization.

The t-shirt was confiscated.
