Berlin's Komische Oper to get new director
Australian director Barry Kosky is to become the next director of Berlin’s Komische Oper opera house, according to culture radio station RBB on Tuesday.
The station said they had been informed by Berlin’s opera foundation that current director Andreas Homoki will end his contract with the Komische Oper to join an opera house in Zurich.
Kosky will take over the famed opera in 2012, the station said.
Kosky’s production of the musical “Kiss Me Kate” is currently running at the Komische Oper in Berlin.
