Police free hedgehog, natural order restored
Officers patrolling in Baden-Württemberg were confronted by a self-imprisoned hedgehog.
Having just dealt with a spate of road accidents and burglaries, a domestic assault and a punch-up in a local betting shop, law-enforcers in Offenburg ended their day with a feel-good intervention, a police report on Tuesday said. A hedgehog that had got its head jammed in an empty yoghurt pot surprised two officers while it wandered blind through the southern town during the night. After snapping some photos, they removed the container and ushered the creature on its way.
