One person injured in attack near Düsseldorf airport
A person was injured in a knife attack on the grounds of Germany's Düsseldorf Airport on Tuesday afternoon. Police believe the attack could have been related to a dispute between two homeless people.
The perpetrator fled the scene after the attack and is being sought together by the federal and state police, according to reports by the German Press Agency (DPA).
The attack occurred in one of the airport parking garages at a parking ticket machine, police said, adding that they knew the names of both of the individuals involved.
The victim was not seriously injured and was treated as an outpatient in the hospital.
Flight safety and air traffic are not affected, and the handling of passengers is not disrupted.
