Deutschland will likely have pleasant weather throughout the next seven weeks, meteorologists say.

"We will probably have a similar weather situation in the summer as at the moment," said a weatherman from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Thursday.

The accuracy rate of this prediction, according to earlier data compiled by the DWD, stands at around 60 percent.

Wednesday was sunny and warm almost everywhere across the country, the DWD states. The air above the Baltic countries and northern Europe has moreover been comparatively mild.

On Thursday, the mercury is set to rise to between 25C and 30C regionally. Along the coast and in the southeast, highs are predicted to range between 19C and 24C.

Over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday the DWD expects peak temperatures of 33C in areas around the Upper Rhine. But in the south, it will be comparatively cooler.

The DWD’s current predictions are contrary to what climate experts in Germany recently forecast for the upcoming weeks - that temperatures could be cooler than they are now.
