A Berlin condom company found out the hard way on Tuesday that there may be such a thing as too many orgasms – when it lost a legal battle over the number it promises customers.

21 orgasms per pack of seven: this is what Einhorn (Unicorn) condom customers can expect, according to the company's recent packaging.

But on Tuesday, Düsseldorf regional court issued an injunction against the statement, reports Express.

Earlier this month, a rival company from Cologne called for an injunction to prevent Einhorn making the claim.

It could be misinterpreted, the company argued – and could lead to people using the condoms multiple times, with dangerous results.

Orgasms for all

"Each pack contains seven condoms – or up to 21 orgasms," promises the packaging of one of Einhorn's latest offerings.

What Einhorn means by this, they say, is that with every condom use the man can orgasm once and the woman twice.

This makes things fair, they argue.

"Just one orgasm per condom would mean that only the man was allowed to come," the company said in a press release.

"This doesn't take into account women and other sexual partners. After all, during sex both – or multiple – sexual partners can come several times."

Making condoms cool

Einhorn has protested the court's decision, arguing that their condoms can give multiple orgasms even with a single use.

The case will now be discussed by a competition court in Düsseldorf - and both parties have agreed to attend the hearing.

Einhorn founders Philip Siefer (32) and Waldemar Zeiler (33) shot to fame on "Höhle der Löwen," a German edition of British television series Dragon's Den (USA: Shark Tank.)

Their goal was to make buying condoms cool – with a range of fairly produced, sustainable and vegan products.

"We want to have fun in life and try new things," said Siefer.

"Not everything is meant in a sinister way."
