Homeland gets €1m funding for Berlin shoot

Hit US thriller series Homeland will receive €1 million of public funds from the Berlin-Brandenburg Media Board (MBB) for its fifth season, which starts shooting in the German capital on Tuesday.
"We're all big fans and insanely proud to be the home of Homeland in the coming months," Kirsten Niehuus, manager of the MBB said.
"After many outstanding German and international film productions, the capital region is now ready to move onto series," she added.
Shooting will take place in Berlin, as well as in the nearby Babelsberg studios, one of the world's oldest and most famous locations.
Returning stars include Claire Danes, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin.
MBB has been offering funding for series since the beginning of 2015 as part of a new programme.
