The dark months are coming, but fear not! The glow of German television promises to keep us warm, if not entertained.

Don't have Netflix? That's ok, turning on the German television offers just as much entertainment to keep you going through the fast-approaching cold and dark winter months. 

From a "crazy German talk show" to a quality family drama set in East Berlin in the 1980s, German television offers a variety of glimpses into German culture, but you can't say we didn't warn you about its variable standards.

If nothing else, at least your German water cooler talk will be on point.
