Explosion at Munich surgery injures three
Three people were injured on Monday morning in an explosion at a doctor’s surgery in central Munich.
Police said one patient was seriously injured and two staff members suffered minor injuries at the surgical practice on Tal.
The explosion happened shortly before 8am and is believed to have been caused by a pressurized oxygen cylinder.
A fire spread through the surgery on the third floor of the building following the explosion, but was put out quickly by firefighters.
The injured patient was waiting for an operation when the cylinder exploded, according to the Münchner Abendzeitung.
