How did your company get started?
The idea came from my business partner and Co-Founder Angus Elphinstone – Angus has a very successful Man and Van service in West London. In 2008 when customers started to be more price aware following the start of the ‘Credit Crunch’ they were keen to make use of Angus’ fleet of vehicles, not to do a dedicated trip as they would have previously requested but instead when he had a vehicle heading in the direction that they need to go – Angus’ black book of customers grew and grew and this was the spark that led to ANYVAN.com
What's the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your company?
A customer once told us that ours is the best website that he has used since GoogleMaps – and of course that we won recognition as the best Website of the Year in 2010 by the good web guide.
What keeps you awake at night?
Searching for ways to make ANYVAN even better, bigger faster and more user friendly.
What's the strangest request you have ever had?
We see absolutely everything moved on ANYVAN. From gold fish to coffins, armchairs to theatre stages students to girlfriends we’ve seen it all!
What is your coolest product?
If has to be the ANYVAN Route Matcher – Our clever tool that instantly sorts our network of over 12,000 transport providers to give you a list of the top 25 companies best matched to help you with you job – You then just simply invite your preferred companies to quote. It’s really cool!
