Man calls police over 'rubbish' presents

A novel way to deliver Christmas presents backfired on Friday night, when a man called the police after having a bin bag flung onto his balcony.
When a plastic sack landed on his balcony in the dead of night, the 57-year-old, living in the central German town of Goslar, assumed that some unknown hooligans were throwing garbage onto his balcony.
He therefore alerted the police to report a "rubbish attack."
But when officers arrived to examine the evidence, they found the bag was filled with presents, thrown there by a neighbour hoping to preserve the magic of Christmas.
Police said they would not pursue the matter.
