Winter storm 'Joachim' blows over

The winter storm ‘Joachim’ had largely blown over Germany by Saturday morning and moved on to Poland, where at least four people were hurt, InfoRadio reported.
Following the heavy rains Friday came the first snow for parts of eastern Germany, including Berlin and Brandenburg, the regional broadcaster for Berlin and Brandenburg reported. But there wasn’t much heavy damage, though workers were busy getting rid of fallen branches, local police authorities told the station.
