A Swiss court has told German tennis legend Boris Becker to pay the minister who presided over his celebrity wedding a fee of €1,450 after settling a long-running dispute.

The court in the eastern canton of Grison ordered Becker to pay 1,988 Swiss francs, or about €1,450, to the American pastor, Brent Fisher, who tied the knot to his second marriage to Dutch native Sharlely Kerssenberg in 2009.

The three-time Wimbledon champion was also charged some 2,257 francs in legal fees at the hearing on Wednesday, according to his Internet site.

However the sum is much lower than that sought by the minister who claimed he was due a fee of some 9,600 francs. Becker had argued the cleric had given him an estimate of between 1,750 and 2,100 francs.

Becker gave broadcast rights to Germany's RTL television to air his June 2009 wedding ceremony in Saint-Moritz resort, while another channel broadcast his marriage announcement to nearly 10 million viewers.
