According to the German Weather Service (DWD), Germany can expect rain and thunderstorms in much of the country on Friday, with temperatures reaching 18 degrees Celsius in the north and 25 degrees in the south of the country. In the north and northeast, gusty winds are forecast.

“This doesn’t have much to do with summer anymore,” said DWD meteorologist Helmut Malewski in a statement.

Heavy rain is likely through Friday night and into Saturday, with thunderstorms a possibility. Lows are expected to range between 11 and 16 degrees.

More wet weather is likely throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, cloudy skies and patchy showers will be the norm with high temperatures between 17 and 21 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly overcast with occasional breaks in the clouds and continued showers and thunderstorms. Strong winds are expected in coastal areas. It will remain cool with highs reaching between 15 and 20 degrees.

On Sunday night, lows are expected to dip down to between 7 and 12 degrees.
