A neighbor alerted the police after finding 23-year-old Carolina Brust dead on Monday in a residential area of the resort near Cancun, according to the Quintana Roo state prosecutor's office.

The police opened an investigation and took a statement from a Mexican man believed to have been the woman's boyfriend.

A local justice official said that the couple had been living together for around one month.

Since when is Mexico part of the Caribbean? Mexico should read Latin American or Central American resort.

Probably since the Caribbean got its name as Quintana Roo has a shoreline on the Caribbean Sea!

Yeah I guess thats the reason. Odd but yeah

For your information:

Mexico is in North America! Not in Central America!!!!!

And yes, Quintana Roo has a shoreline on the Caribbean Sea.

No, Mexico is not IN North America, it is to the west of it.

I believe Mexico is south of the US...hence the name "south of the border"...I could be wrong tho...they may have moved it
23:03 August 18, 2010 by wxman
Sheesh! Mexico is indeed south of the US, just as Canada is north of the US. However, they are all part of the North American continent. Geography, people.
01:31 August 19, 2010 by Jasmine33
Well yes you are right, NY Steve and wxman, it is south of the US, but a little west too. HA!, had to get that in, so you might say a little southwest of the US. I guess I said west because before when I went to some of the border towns I sometimes went I 35 west in Texas.

That's another BIG MISTAKE that most people do...

AMERICA doesn't mean the USA.

America = the continent

United States of America = the country

with North America I meant the north of the continent.... Gosh...

Ich wiederhole:

North America = Canada, USA, Mexico

Ok, before I go on I'd just like to wish condolences to the German woman's family for their loss and hope they find resolution to this terrible tragedy soon. The Carribean is beautiful and I'd love to be able to see it some day. But what a shame this woman had this happen to her. May she rest in peace.

Next, in the last post I said something about I 35 West, but should have said I 35 South to the Mexican border towns. But, I was going slightly southwest because if I had gone straight south I'd have wound up in the Gulf of Mexico, not Mexico. So, people in California and nearby neighboring states can pretty much go south to Mexico because they are in the western part of the US.

Well, actually America does mean the United States of America.

"The Americas" is in reference to the continents, North and South America.

Again, all humans deserve a quality life, as along as they don't violate a civil law. No race is superior to another.

And as humans, we are obligated to do all that we can to preserve each.

As a species, we have failed simply because our way of life violates the laws of the universe. Human life should be easy,

because there really is a basic formula for living.

Mexico is in Central America.

The current propaganda about it being in North America is an attempt to equate it with the US and Canada.

Culturally, ethnically, and geographically Mexico is in Central America. South of the Rio Grande.

Mexico would LIKE to be North American.
