Germans jailed for crashing Oscars

Nine German men have reportedly been arrested after trying to crash the Academy Awards with fake red carpet passes.
According to celebrity news website TMZ, police sources said the men were observed “rubbing elbows with stars” on the red carpet ahead of the Oscars on Sunday evening.
When officers approached the men around 4:45 pm to ask for their identification, they flashed passes with MTV and CITI logos on them. But the passes were quickly determined to be counterfeit.
“Ze Germans were rounded up, arrested for trespassing and taken to a nearby jail,” TMZ reported.
The nine men were reportedly released on Monday morning.
