After a 3 year hiatus from show business, UK popstar Robbie Williams has surprised his German fans by deciding to play a free concert in Berlin on Friday.

Williams' record label EMI confirmed on Thursday that he will give a “mini-concert” on October 23 at 4 pm at the Max-Schmeling arena in the city's Prenzlauer Berg district. The show will be free and open to the public.

Williams is expected to perform songs from his new album “Reality Killed the Video Star," which will be released on November 6.

The former member of UK boy band Take That will return to the German capital in two weeks time for an appearance at the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 5.
