Supermodel Heidi Klum apparently feels her surname is too German for America and has reportedly filed to change it to Samuel – the last name of her husband, pop singer Seal.

Several gossip websites reported late on Wednesday that Klum, presently preparing to give birth to the couple's third child, had already submitted the paperwork to a Los Angeles court.

Klum, from Bergisch Gladbach near Cologne, has lived with Seal in the United States since marrying in 2005. She has two children with the singer and a daughter from a previous fling with disgraced Formula One bigwig Flavio Briatore.

Her husband's full name is Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Samuel, but the star of “Project Runway” and “Germany's Next Top Model” apparently decided going by Heidi Samuel was enough.
