After a week of nearly perfect late-summer weather, clouds are set to move in to northern and central Germany later on Friday, bringing possible showers. The southeastern parts of the country can also expect showers with thunderstorms, the DWD said from its Offenbach headquarters. Temperatures will remain a warm 25 and 29 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, German skies will be partly cloudy with rain at higher altitudes. Southwestern Germany will likely remain sunny while a few showers moisten the north. Temperatures will drop to between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius.

Sunday will also be mixed in the north, with isolated showers and thunderstorms. The northern coast can expect stormy winds, but southern Germany will stay dry. Temperatures will range between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius.
