Hot and sticky weather expected
Most of Germany can expect hot and humid summer temperatures early this week, the German Weather Service (DWD) reported from their headquarters in Offenbach on Monday.
Some areas could see temperatures as high as 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) on Monday, which will be partly cloudy. Meanwhile coastal areas will remain bearable thanks to comfortable sea breezes, the DWD reported.
Residents in the southern and western regions of Germany may see isolated and potentially violent storms. The squalls will be centred in the Alps and near the Oder river.
Tuesday is expected to be sunny and dry, though some areas may see brief thunder storms. Temperatures will remain hot between 23 and 29 degrees Celsius.
Showers will arrive on Wednesday in the eastern and southern regions, but the rest of the country will remain pleasant with little wind.
