The rubbish weather in Germany continues this weekend, despite Sunday’s summer solstice, with stormy rain showers heading in from the North Sea and covering the northern part of the country as far down as the Vogtland.

The southeast will remain relatively dry, while the south will be overcast and damp, with temperatures nationwide not expected to peep over 21 Celsius, according to the weather service meteomedia.

Storms are expected in the eastern part of the country on Sunday, with some sunshine in the west, but no improvement in temperatures.

Monday will see similar temperatures while the stormy rain is expected to head south, interrupted only occasionally by sunshine.
