What was supposed to be a fun bike outing on a sunny Saturday morning, briefly turned into a nightmare for a Freiburg man, when he realised he had lost his one and a half year-old son.

Local police reported the man set off on his bike ride and rode over a kilometre before looking back and seeing that his son was not with him.

Upset, he rode to the nearest police station and asked them for help in finding his son. A very quick search turned up the toddler, who was safe and unharmed.

The tike was still sitting in his bike trailer in front of their home. Apparently, the man had forgotten to attach the trailer to his bike before riding off.
