The affected product is the 220-gramme jar of carrot and potatoes with organic beef – ‘Karotten und Kartoffeln mit Bio-Rind’ from the chain’s own ‘babylove’ label, the company said in a statement.

It is intended for children from 8-months-old and is marked with the code 5750 – 17.01.2011, which the company says is easily seen on the edge of the lid.

The company has removed all such products from its stores, and called for customers who have bought some, to take it into a store for a refund. Those people in the Hamburg region can also take such a product into a Budnikowsky shop.
