Heidi Klum has thrown one of her most promising candidates off the current series of Germany’s Next Top Model for showing her the finger in front of the cameras.

After being criticised by the judges during recording on Thursday night, contestant Tessa Bergmeier showed Klum her middle finger, prompting her eviction.

“You always want to be the centre of attention and we are not willing to play along much longer,” Peyman Amin, friend of Klum and member of the show's judge panel said to Tessa.

The 19-year-old had become one of the most infamous candidates on the show and had already let rip about a fellow contestant in the first episode when she said she believed the girl copied her look. “That annoyed me so much. I wanted to rip her apart,” she told the judges.

Details of a busy past love life had also surfaced which failed to impress the judges, who also took badly to her having a poisonous argument with another model candidate.

Flipping the bird to Klum was the last straw and Tessa has been cast out into the cold world of minor tabloid interest and wannabe modelling.
