Lentil and pork stew recalled in broken glass scare
Three German supermarkets have cleared tins of lentil and pork stew from their shelves and have asked customers to return it to stores after two people found pieces of broken glass in their dinner.
Kaufland, Kaufmarkt and Handelshof issued a notice on Tuesday that the K-Classic Linseneintopf mit magerem Schweinefleisch in 800-gramme tins from the batch LT 14818 should be returned.
On the base of the tin is printed LI CL MHD 31.12.2011 Uhrzeit LT 14818 and another number.
Customers returning their stew do not need to present a receipt in order to get their money back.
A customer hotline has also been set up for those with questions – under the number 0800 152 8352.
