German teen injured making internet bomb
A 15-year-old German boy has been injured while attempting to build a bomb with plans from the internet, German police in Anklam reported on Wednesday.
The Wolgast boy was taken to the hospital with chemical burns to his face and an eye injury after he and his 14-year-old friend tried to build the bomb. The younger boy was not injured in the accident.
“They just wanted to see if it actually worked,” an official in the German state of Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania said.
The two boys had made a point of taking their experiment outside of town, and the accident occurred near a train crossing when they managed to create an explosion by mixing household chemicals in a plastic bottle.
