Steinbrück bets 6 bottles of wine on balanced budget by 2011

Steinbrück told German broadcaster ZDF on Wednesday that his budget consolidation plan has been an important part of the left-right coalition’s success.
“I think that setting this budget plan was an important sign of competence, assertiveness and actionability,” he said, adding his wine bet that the budget would balance for the first time in four decades by 2011.
