Severe weather causes damage near Bodensee
An intense storm caused severe damage in Germany’s Bodensee area on Sunday evening.
The storm in the German state of Baden-Württemberg uprooted trees and damaged roofs, flooding streets and cellars with heavy rains.
German regional train service between Überlingen und Markdorf was delayed when fallen trees blocked tracks.
Telephone and electricity connections were also damaged, a fire department spokesperson in Überlingen said, adding that residents of Baitenhausen were cut off from service for several hours.
